The National Weather Service Issues Weather Advisories for This Week

The National Weather Service has issued weather advisories to warn residents of winter weather and heavy winds expected this week. The NWS advises residents to secure outdoor objects such as patio furniture and other items.
Up to ten unfilled sandbags are available to Vista residents (proof of residency required) from the Vista Public Works Department, 1165 E. Taylor Street, bldg. A. Sandbags help to divert or redirect water, mud and debris from your property and help prevent soil erosion. Residents can purchase fill materials at local home centers and building supply stores.
Public Works hours are Monday-Thursday, 6:30 am-4:30 pm; every other Friday, 6:30 am-3 pm (open on February 24).
