City Storm Preparations – While the City of Vista prepares for emergencies and disasters year-round, City teams began ramping up efforts last week to prep for the storms. Public Works crews are patrolling Vista, sweeping streets, and clearing debris that may block storm runoff from entering the sewer system. The Vista Fire Department has put an additional engine into service for today and increased staffing to prepare for emergencies. The City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) began operating virtually yesterday and will be in place throughout the rain event. The EOC brings together teams across the City of Vista to prepare and implement emergency plans.

To report trees or power lines down, roadway issues due to the storm, flooding, or other infrastructure emergencies, call the Public Works Department at 760.639.6177 or 760.825.3135 (after hours).City of Vista Storm Info & Resources
