Civic Center Reopens to the Public
The City has reopened the public counters at the Civic Center and at the Public Works facility with modified hours from 8 am-5:30 pm with public health and safety measures in place. Residents and customers are still encouraged to take advantage of the online resources on the City website.
Summer Day Camps Underway
Recreation is offering weekly summer Day Camps through August 14. Following State and County guidelines, Recreation has implemented health and safety measures.
County Uses 13 Measures to Gauge Safety of Reopening
The County of San Diego is using 13 data points to determine if the re-opening of businesses and retail stores will remain in place and if public health officials will need to adjust them. The measures fall into three categories: epidemiology (disease tracking); health care system (hospital capacity); and public health response. See the County dashboard with new data.
Online City Council Meeting, June 9

Free Document Shred Event, June 13
Residents can safely dispose of sensitive or personal documents that need shredding at a free document shredding event on Saturday, June 13 at the Vista Civic Center. Electronic waste will also be accepted, including computers, TV’s, printers, cell phones, laptops, and other e-waste.
Creek to Bay Virtual Clean-up, June 20
This year’s annual “Creek to Bay Clean-up” event take place remotely all day on June 20. Volunteers can register online and the City will provide trash bags and gloves to participants.
