Redistricting Community Meeting, Jan 15
The first community meeting on redistricting will be held on Saturday, Jan 15 at the VAPA campus. Learn about the redistricting process, how to submit draft maps, and give input on the process.

January Council Meetings Return To Remote Only
The January Council meetings will return to remote viewing only. The next meeting on Jan 11 may be viewed live on the City’s YouTube channel or to participate via through the Zoom link in the agenda.

County Reports No-cost Testing Available
San Diego County is asking persons with COVID-19 symptoms to get tested by making appointments at their available daily Tuesday-Saturday County-run sites or the public can also contact their healthcare provider or pharmacy.

Registration Open for Recreation
Registration is underway for a number of recreation programs geared towards adults and youth. Recreation offerings include adult softball & basketball and youth basketball. Youth scholarships are available.

Preschool Sessions are Underway
Recreation’s preschool classes are underway and registration is open through spring. Scholarships are available for those affected by COVID-19. Programs are held at the Jim Porter Recreation Center weekdays.

City Services Holiday Schedule, Jan 17
In observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, City offices will be closed Monday, Jan 17. Trash and recycling collection is on the regular schedule with no delays that week.

County Rental Assistance For Small Landlords
Applications are being accepted for the County’s Rental Assistance for Small Landlords program, which helps small landlords not able to access federal, state, or local financial assistance for loss of rental income.
