CITY OF VISTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Vista, California, will hold a public hearing in the Vista City Hall Council Chambers, 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, California, February 8, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the following
matter:

PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER CITY COUNCIL REDISTRICTING
In 2017, the City Council took action to implement a single-member district election system in compliance with the California Voting Rights Act. Beginning with the November 2018 election, Vista began electing members of the City Council, with the exception of the Mayor, from four individual districts instead of by citywide vote. With the Completion of the 2020 U.S. Census, the City Council must now analyze and consider population changes and boundary adjustments.

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive input and comments submitted by the public. The City Council will hold a community meeting and one additional public hearing to receive additional comments from the public. Spanish
interpretation will be available at each meeting.

ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE INVITED to attend said hearing and express opinions on the matters outlined above. COMMENTS may be submitted in writing to PublicComments@cityofvista.com or mailed to the attention of the CITY
CLERK’S OFFICE, Vista Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, CA 92084.

NOTIFICACIÓN DE AUDIENCIA PÚBLICA
POR LA PRESENTE SE NOTIFICA que el Concejo Municipal de la Ciudad de Vista, California, llevará a cabo una audiencia pública en las Cámaras del Concejo del Ayuntamiento de Vista, 200 Civic Center Drive, Vista, California, el 8 de febrero de 2022, a las 6:00 p.m. para considerar el siguiente asunto:

AUDIENCIA PÚBLICA PARA CONSIDERAR LA REDISTRITACIÓN DEL CONCEJO MUNICIPAL
En 2017, el Concejo Municipal tomó medidas para implementar un sistema electoral de distritos de un único miembro en cumplimiento con la Ley de Derechos Electorales de California. A partir de las elecciones de noviembre de 2018, Vista comenzó a elegir a los miembros del Concejo Municipal, con la excepción del Alcalde, de cuatro distritos individuales en lugar de por votación en toda la ciudad. Con la finalización del Censo de los Estados Unidos de 2020, el
Concejo Municipal ahora debe analizar y considerar los cambios de población y los ajustes de límites.

El propósito de la audiencia pública es recibir aportes y comentarios presentados por el público. El Concejo Municipal llevará a cabo una reunión comunitaria y uno audiencia pública adicionales para recibir comentarios adicionales del público. La interpretación en español estará disponible en cada reunión.
