Oceanside, CA -A reopening celebration for the John Landes Community Center will be held on Saturday, August 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 2855 Cedar Road in Oceanside. The Center, in the Tri City neighborhood, was reactivated by the Oceanside Parks & Recreation, Housing & Neighborhood Services and the Library Departments. Community Center improvements include renovations, new services and programs, the addition of a full-service Library, community room and study rooms. Current programming includes an After-School Program, Summer Camp, and additional recreation programs such as dance and tumbling and adult programs like Aikido and Aerobics.

The Reopening Celebration on August 12 will start at 11:00 a.m. with opening remarks and a ribbon cutting.  Tours of the facility will be available, along with live mariachi music, games and activities for kids and families, prize drawings, arts and crafts, a Library open house, and Parks and Recreation class demonstrations.
