On Wednesday, November 18th the City received community input on a variety of parking issues. City staff and community members engaged in dialogue that covered many parking issues or concerns from parking enforcement to parking requirements for multi-family residential development, adequate parking for businesses to thrive. Also safety issues, such as proper lighting of parking areas among other concerns.
Several comments were also made about using garages as storage space rather than for parking. The City needs to assess the findings from this meeting and discuss the next steps on how to best address what was heard. The next meeting will be scheduled for early 2016.
