Vista Community Clinic’s Dental and Optometry Program for Patients with Diabetes
Vista, CA-Since 2021, Vista Community Clinic (VCC) and The Delta Dental Care Foundation have partnered to expand VCC’s existing dental and optometry services for local communities in need. VCC is honored to have been chosen to continue our partnership for another year.
Our partnership aims to address the critical need for comprehensive oral and vision care for patients with diabetes, which has been historically limited or inaccessible for many individuals due to financial onstraints or a lack of resources.
“We are thrilled to have been selected,” said Dr. Rebecca Cornille, Chief Dental Officer at VCC. “This partnership will enable us to reach more individuals when it comes to essential oral and vision care. Patients with diabetes are at a much higher risk for vision and oral health complications. We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality integrated healthcare services, regardless of their financial situation or geographic location.”
With the additional resources, VCC will be able to identify and reach more patients who are at risk of oral and eye health problems. VCC hopes to help bridge the healthcare gap by ensuring that at-risk individuals have access to essential dental and optometric care, improving overall health outcomes and quality of life. This program year, the expansion to coordinated podiatry services is incorporated.
