Sensory-Friendly Holiday AXIS Event

This Sunday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m. PT — This year The Old Globe brings its Sensory-Friendly Holiday AXIS event online. For the second consecutive year, The Old Globe is partnering with music group Jungle Poppins (who will give a very special musical presentation!), Autism Society San Diego, and Banding Together. It will feature an inclusive workshop led by Samantha Ginn and a presentation of an original holiday-inspired play from our Sensory-Friendly Community Voices workshop. Available on the Arts Engagement Facebook page, The Old Globe’s website, and The Old Globe’s YouTube Channel.

Gather Round! Podcast

A short-form limited podcast series, co-hosted by Artistic Associate Lamar Perry and Arts Engagement Programs Manager Laura Zablit, that celebrates the holiday traditions and rituals of various San Diego communities during the winter season. Told through conversations with community partners who recall their childhoods, favorite recipes, and the rich history of their lives, Gather Round! makes space for partners to share their stories authentically and in their own languages.
