Free Public Event Takes Place Saturday, February 25, 20239:00 am – 1:00 pm at The Encinitas Community and Senior Center

The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its Senior Expo “Embracing Retirement” will take place Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas. The free event is open to the public and brought to the community by the Encinitas Chamber in partnership with the City of Encinitas.

The Senior Expo offers valuable information to those retiring soon, those that are retired and families of aging individuals, all who need a little help navigating this new life chapter. Exhibitors include healthcare providers, housing options, senior lifestyle businesses, fitness & wellness, government agencies, financial and tax services, insurance and more.

Activities include opportunity drawings, refreshments and a breakfast hosted by the Encinitas Rotary’s Home Team, a free community service for seniors having a difficult time with many common household repairs. Parking and admission are complimentary, and attendees will receive a free Embracing Retirement commemorative bag.

“We are thrilled to bring this informational event to the community, as San Diego’s older adult population is one of the most rapidly growing demographics in the county,” said Sherry Yardley, CEO, Encinitas Chamber of Commerce. “The San Diego Association of Governments projects that by 2030, the population of people age 60 and older will grow from the 626,683 people estimated in 2020 to nearly 1 million people.”

Current Sponsors include Gold Sponsor Belmont Village Senior Living and Table Sponsors DaCosta Properties, First Team Real Estate, California Coast Credit Union, Scan Health Plan, true care, Westmont of Encinitas and San Diego Gas & Electric.

Sponsorship opportunities and exhibitor spots are still available for those businesses looking to reach this rapidly expanding aging population with growing spending power. For more information on the event, exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities go to encinitaschamber.com, email community@encinitaschamber.com or call (760) 753-6041.
