Monday Motivation
“Daring is not saying, ‘I’m willing to risk failure.’  Daring is saying, ‘I know I will eventually fail and I’m still all in.’”  Brené Brown

I love that quote!  It gets my heart racing and my blood pumping.  This year is going to be great.  Let’s go for it!

NYE Thank You!
I have to begin 2022 with a big THANK YOU to all the staffers and volunteers that helped make our New Year’s Eve celebration a big success.  We had some expected cancelations over COVID concerns but we also had RSVPs coming in all the way to the last day.

Most remarkable to me is how smoothly things went with such a small crew.  Like many restaurants in our area due to COVID, we are often short-staffed and we certainly were on New Year’s Eve.  But the staffers we had worked well with a small army of volunteers to meet the needs of the more than 150 members who attended the celebration.

Special thanks to:
Club Manager: Sandra
Cooks: Parker, Chuy, and James (who helped to prep on Thursday)
Bartenders: Vicki and Sandra
Waitress: Deb
Greeter: Pat
Lead Decorator: Myra
Volunteers: All the food & drink runners, table bussers, decorators
Janitor: Jeff
Secretary: Sharon

You ALL did an incredible amount of work to make the evening happen.  Thank you!

Boots & Boogie
If you missed our NYE party, our next big event is on Friday, January 28.  It’s a county music night called Boots & Boogie.  It will begin with county dance lessons from 4:30pm to 5:30pm and move into our usual Friday dinner and dance… albeit county music and a lot of 2-steppin.’

Our Friday night menu will feature BBQ Ribs and beans, along with our usual dinner offerings.  And starting this first week in January, our Friday night bands will be playing one hour longer, to 9:30pm.

Make sure Boots & Boogie is on your calendar!

This Week
Monday will have our last Monday Night Football party of the season.
Tuesday dinner will feature Chef James’ handmade Lasagna!
Wednesday dinner and Karaoke with DJ Patrick.
Thursday is Steak Night and our first Lodge meeting of the year.

Look for the weekly Thursday email that goes into detail about all these events and takes you into the weekend.

Have a great week!
ER David
