SUMMER OF SOUL –SATURDAY, JULY 2, 2022

It was the summer of 1969, the same year as Woodstock, when the Harlem Culture Festival was part of an era that began a musical revolution with the performances of Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Mahalia Jackson, B.B. King, The 5th Dimension, and more. The documentary, Summer of Soul, now streaming on Hulu, captures that six-weekend festival for the first time and a host of award-winning San Diego musical artists will re-create and pay tribute to the artists and sounds featured in it.   Artists will be announced soon!
