Friends Of Oceanside Public Library Donate Over $56,000

Oceanside, CA –The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library recently presented a $56,600 check to Library Director CJ Di Mento.  The check generously represents the Friends’ support of Library programming and the purchase of new books and materials for the first half of 2022, with additional funds to come at the end of the year.

Since its founding in 1971, the all-volunteer Friends of the Library have raised more than $2 million to help the Library continue doing the impactful work they do for the community – making available print and electronic resources and technology; providing programs and events for all ages; and performing outreach efforts through bookmobiles, mini-libraries and home deliveries.

The mission of the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library is to support and promote the services and resources of the Oceanside Public Library through community involvement, volunteer activities, and fundraising.  For information about becoming a member of volunteer, please visit oplfriends.org or call (760) 435-5560.
