On Monday, November 21 just before 1:00 a.m., a deputy from the Vista Sheriff’s Station stopped a vehicle for an expired registration near the 1000 block of South Santa Fe Avenue in the City of Vista.
While searching the car, the deputy discovered a loaded ghost gun in a hidden compartment. A bag containing ammunition, a holster, taser and drug paraphernalia was also located inside the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ricardo Alvarez (DOB: 08/21/1989). He was arrested and booked into Vista Detention Facility for being a felon in possession of a firearm and other weapons-related charges.

El lunes 21 de noviembre, justo antes de la 1:00 a.m., un oficial del Vista Sheriff’s Station detuvo un vehículo con un registro vencido cerca de la cuadra 1000 de South Santa Fe Avenue en Vista.
Mientras registraba el automóvil, el oficial descubrió un arma fantasma cargada en un compartimiento oculto. Dentro del vehículo también se encontró una bolsa que contenía municiones, una funda, un taser y parafernalia de drogas.
El conductor del vehículo fue identificado como Ricardo Alvarez (fecha de nacimiento: 08/21/1989). Fue arrestado y ingresado en el Centro de Detención de Vista por ser un delincuente en posesión de un arma de fuego y otros cargos relacionados con armas.
