On a beautiful sunny February Saturday brought out residents to Vista Village Center to enjoy a variety of sponsored events. Bike Walk Vista performed free bicycle tune ups, the Vista Community Clinic provided free blood pressure checks and Sparky the fire dog along with the Vista Fire Department personnel demonstrated fire safety. The Vista Skateboard Coalition provided information on safe skating practices.
The biggest excitement of the day was Dr. Bronners Magic Foam experience. Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis offered free scanning and fingerprinting for families. UpShot Archery, a new north county business, had a demo booth allowing guests to test their bow and arrow skills.
Local US Army recruiters were on hand to answer questions and take pictures with attendees. They are located at 320 Sycamore Ave, Vista.
