For the last 30 days, downtown Vista has been dark at night due to the lights being removed from the trees so they could be repaired or replaced along with the electrical outlets on the trees and general maintenance needed to be done.  This last weekend on November 19, 2016, young families including children from North Coast Church, spent the day putting new lights on the trees and wrapping street poles with ribbon and bows.

This is the fifth year that North Coast Church has participated in putting the lights up and they look forward to doing this each year.  There was also a snow blowing machine where the kids did crafts while listening to Christmas music being played in the gazebo plaza.  They really enjoy serving the community on Main Street and they hope to expand the tradition next year along Broadway.
Jeffrey Frankel of the VVBA stated, “A huge hug of gratitude goes to North Coast Church and the Weekend of Service team.  More than 50 volunteers of all ages helped to wrap trees with lights and street poles with festive ribbon and bows.  I can’t wait to see the street lit up throughout this holiday season.  Terrific job North Coast!”
