A Place to Call Home

Meet Doris! Doris is a DACA recipient and single mom who was living in her own apartment with her four children. She was working two jobs and doing well. When the pandemic hit, Doris’ DACA status expired due to a delay in processing paperwork, and subsequently she lost her job and apartment. Doris was paying for hotel rooms and staying with friends and family when she could. Her daughter’s teacher learned of their situation and referred the family to Interfaith. Working with her case manager, Doris was placed in Interfaith housing and found employment. When she was once again able to pay her rent, Interfaith helped with her deposit and provided move-in support and furniture. Today, Doris is working full-time. Her children now have a backyard to play in and a safe place to call home. Help Doris and Families Alike

NEW Program!

Sober Living

Meet Joey, Resident Manager of Tikkun, Interfaith’s new sober living house. Joey oversees the program’s 5 residents who are in recovery. Tikkun House residents are required to pay rent ($800), work or be in school, attend AA or NA meetings, and submit to regular drug tests. Joey’s authenticity and caring supervision allows the residents to feel comfortable and work their way through recovery in a special way.
