It’s with great pleasure that we introduce our staff members recently joining the team and those who have taken on new roles here at Operation HOPE-North County to fulfill our mission as we move into 2021.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
Hi I’m Marla Stewart! I am so excited to be at Operation HOPE-North County. Although I am a California native, I spent 8 years living in
Hungary and Italy. It was during that time I first became interested in the nonprofit sector. After college, I ended up on the data management
and financial side of the field but missed the rewarding human connections. I am looking forward to meeting all the volunteers and community partners that make our mission at Operation HOPE-North County possible.

SHELTER MANAGER AND INTAKE COORDINATOR

Hello, my name is Edwardo Garcia. I come from working in the field of mental health for 9 years. I’ve worked with youth and their families who are challenged with early psychosis. I’ve done assessments and screening for my former program, Kickstart. I enjoy meeting families for the first time since I know it can be daunting to come to a place for help. I enjoy walking families through the process and getting comfortable with the idea of receiving any kind of service. I enjoy helping individuals grow and directing them towards their goals. I look forward to serving the families that come into program.

LEAD CLIENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
I’m Stephanie Mata, a north county native currently raising my daughter here with my husband. I have enjoyed creating strong ties in the community. I joined Operation HOPE-North County in December 2019, when I felt motivated to help people in my community. Through my experiences here I have greatly expanded my skills and knowledge of working with families and children in a shelter program. I am excited to continue to be apart of growing with this amazing organization while creating a safe place in our community for those experiencing homelessness.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Hi, my name is Samantha Kurczeski. I moved to North County from a small town in 2016 to attend college. I recently graduated from California State University San Marcos with my BA in Criminology and a minor in Sociology. I wanted to become more involved in the community and am so glad to be on the team at Operation HOPE-North County to be apart of this amazing mission while learning so much along the way!
