Oceanside, CA — Hello San Diego Miramar Lions Club, Rancho Bernardo Lions,  Pride of Vista Lions Cluband SD North County Lions donate money and items to Niland fire victims.

Thank you so much for your contributions of money and goods to those affected by the recent Niland fire. Past District Governor John Ruiz and wife Lion Arminda took the items to the distribution center in Califpatria. Meeting Lions Region Chair (4L6) Bill Browning who helped deliver the donationed items way and unloaded the truck.

Maria Nava-Frocelich, the Director-coordinator for the Calipatria-Niland Family Resource Center who spearheaded the project to help the Niland fire victims. While the truck was being unloaded Maria gave me a tour of the area and informed me that 37 families are still out in hotels.

The donated items collected are placed on tables in different rooms and clients sign in and go through the rooms and pick whatever they need. Items are replenished when they get low. She was very pleased with our donations.
