Lions District 4L6 Women’s Leadership Luncheon

San Diego, CA -On Saturday April 15. 2023, Chair Arminda Ruiz, of the Lions Family and Women program for Lions of San Diego & Imperial Counties District 4L6. The luncheon featured speakers on three women each trailblazers in our county.

Lions Family and Women Specialist of the Lions district for the San Diego and Imperial counties presented a leadership luncheon, “Trailblazers Making a Positive Difference”.  Three very special speakers, Major Mariela Pena, USMC, Mary Zulkoski, Pass Council Chair for the California Lions, and Keshia Jarvis-Jones, Director of Community Partnerships at Foundation for Women Warriors all trailblazers in the community and beyond shared their stories, inspired, encouraged and motivated those present. 

Lions clubs International is a global service organization with over 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries and geographical areas, In the state of California there are 18,480 members in which 48% are women. One of the objectives of the Lions Family and Women  program is to develop service projects or offer issues that are of interest to women.
