Vista, CA – January 20, 2023 Burlington, NC – Wig out for Hope is a national fundraiser for Little Pink to support it signature retreat model for breast cancer families. Individuals around the country will participate in a fundraising challenge to be ambassadors for Little Pink. During the month of February ambassadors for Wig Out for Hope will wear a pink wig of their choice for two weeks or until they reach their fundraising goal. This fundraising push will help breast cancer families put a pause button on treatments and doctors appointments and enjoy a week of amazing activities and a chance to connect with other families. Each year, Little Pink Houses of Hope hosts 23 retreats across the United States.

Jen Heatherly was diagnosed early stage breast cancer in May 2014. In January 2017 she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. This thriver who was gifted a retreat in 2022 was so grateful to have the opportunity to take a trip with her family before the older children got busy with careers and moving out of the family home too remind them all to stay close. “The trip was an amazing time to bond even more as a family after living so many years, fighting cancer.” Because she knows the impact that these retreats have on families, Jenn decided to pay it forward and raise money for other families in need. “Little Pink did an amazing job keeping us focused on our family, having fun and taking a week off of doctors visits, blood draws, scans, etc. etc. etc. , we were just able to be with one another? Have fun and enjoy each other’s company without the every day stress of cancer,”  said Heatherly. Jen will be wearing her pink wig for the first two weeks of February and urges you to support this great cause.
