By Kathy Woods …Life has been “interesting and fun” since a local employee, Kim Wisdom, has become somewhat of a TV celebrity after appearing on Undercover Boss. President and Co-Founder of Rocket Fizz Candy and Soda Shop, Robert Powells, awarded Kim a wonderful surprise by offering to pay her entire college tuition to Cal State Northridge in Riverside, California.
Rocket Fizz in Vista Village has become very popular since the show aired in January because of Kims’ infectious smile and positive attitude. There is a lot of local support and customers coming by to take pictures with her, and more hearing impaired customers come in as they know she can Sign with them. She said, “the store is busier than ever, and business has doubled or tripled!”
She is excited to be transferring in August to Cal State Northridge for 2 years, though she is sad to leave. She will need to complete her Bachelor Degree and then all of her Franchise Fee will be waived to open her own Rocket Fizz in Riverside. Stop by, say hello and wish her luck.
