Oceanside, CA –On Saturday, June 25, 2022, the Oceanside Independence Parade will return to Downtown Oceanside. The 26th annual parade, Downtown’s first since 2019, will have a new theme: “Oceanside Strong, Honoring Our Hometown Heroes.”
“With this theme, we will be paying tribute to all of the essential workers that kept us going strong during the pandemic,” said Cathy Nykiel, Parade Committee Chair for MainStreet Oceanside. “We hope to see everyone in their best patriotic attire, waving their American flags and celebrating our nation’s birthday with all of our local businesses, community leaders and partners that make Oceanside a great place to live.”
The parade will start at 10 a.m. at the intersection of North Coast Highway and Wisconsin Avenue and travel north on Coast Highway to Civic Center Drive. More than 100 parade entries are expected to march, roll, walk and drive down Historic Highway 101.
