Moonlight will be offering a new performing arts experience beginning in January of 2016 with the addition of three exciting performances, complete with a dining experience. Using the indoor theatre space of the Moonlight Amphitheatre stage, those in attendance will take part in an intimate dining and performing experience called Club M. The Moonlight stage will be transformed into an intimate Club atmosphere. This new concert series represents a new approach for Moonlight as they expand the use of this popular venue. The intimate setting will only be available for 132 attendees sitting at tables of 2, 4 or 6. Each performance will have a different dinner menu prepared by the Artisian Café as well as bar service. Cost per person for each show is $80 per show and includes dinner and the concert. Bar service begins at 6 pm for each show with dinner at 6:30 pm and the concert at 8 pm.
On Friday, January 15, 2016, the first performance will be Susan Egan: “The Real Housewife of
Broadway”. She is one of Broadway’s and Disney’s most celebrated performers, originating the role of Bell in Broadway’s “Beauty and the Beast”. This concert is currently 85% sold out. The menu for the dinner includes Roasted Beet Salad, Pan Roasted Chicken and Chocolate Crème Brule.
The next show offered was so popular and sold out so quickly a second show was added, which also sold out. The show is “That’s Life: A Toast to Sinatra”, the first show will be on Thursday, February 11, 2016 followed by a second show on Friday, February 12, 2016. This show features Less Lessack and Scott Coulter as vocalists with John Boswell as musical director. All of the classic hits of Frank Sinatra will be heard during the evening. The dinner menu for this show will be Classic Caesar Salad, Cabernet Braised Short Ribs and Classic Cannoli.
The final show for Club M will be Friday, March 11, 2016 and feature the sounds of Laura Ellis: “In a Jazz Mood”. Laura and her Jazz Noir band will perform favorite melodies from the past and rarely heard musical gems such as “That Old Black Magic”, “I Could Have Danced All Night”, and “Route 66”. This show is 75% sold out. Dinner for this show will be French Nicoise Salad, Cajun Pork Loin and Pecan Tarts.
