VAPAA_Year_with_Frog_and_Toad_Kids_VAVPA[1]Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts is a K-5 magnet school and International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program candidate school that provides weekly classes in drama, dance, art, and music for all students and a musical theatre, violin, dance and art conservatory by audition. The school puts on two plays each year—a musical and a drama—and all proceeds are used to support continuing arts education at the school.

“We have a wonderful group of artistic and enthusiastic students who have been working tirelessly to bring this production together, and we’re very excited to share their talents with the community,” said Michele Earnest, Drama Teacher at Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. “A Year With Frog And Toad KIDS is a delightful musical that appeals to all ages and really gives our kids the chance to shine. We hope members of the community will come out to support arts in public schools and enjoy a great evening of theatre, music and visual art.”

Adapted from the three-time TONY-nominated Broadway hit, A Year With Frog And Toad KIDS is based on Arnold Lobel’s well-loved books and features a hummable score by Robert and Willie Reale. The whimsical show follows two great friends — the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad — through four, fun-filled seasons as they plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way.
