Oceanside, CA -MainStreet Oceanside is launching the new Taste of Oceanside 5-Course Challenge. The latest in a series of digital eat and shop local challenges created by MainStreet, the Taste of Oceanside 5-Course Challenge will reward participants for dining at participating Downtown Oceanside restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and tasting rooms from Monday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 16, with local prizes.
Starting the Monday after the sold out Taste of Oceanside, MainStreet is challenging locals and visitors to enjoy five courses — a cocktail, appetizer, main course, dessert and coffee or tea — at five different Downtown restaurants. Snap selfies or shoot video of you and your food to document each course you try.
You can take our new challenge to eat local in October in three easy steps. First, register to win at mainstreetoceanside.com/5coursechallenge. Second, download the GooseChase digital scavenger hunt app. Third, starting on Monday, dine at your own pace at participating Oceanside restaurants.
“We are encouraging both locals and visitors to support our Downtown Oceanside restaurants in October by coming back after Taste of Oceanside for a slower-paced dining experience or by creating their own tasting experience if they weren’t able to get a ticket,” said Gumaro Escarcega, MainStreet Chief Operations Officer.
5-Course Challenge participants can choose from one or more course options at 32 Taste of Oceanside participating restaurants, including these new 2022 Taste Stops: Al Fresko, Communal Coffee, Haetae and KNVS, North County Roastery and Parlor Doughnuts.
Participants who complete all five courses will be entered to win one of three local prizes and experiences: four tickets to the 2023 Taste of Oceanside VIP Experience; two tickets to Art After Dark: Metamorphosis at Oceanside Museum of Art on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 7-10 p.m; or a $100 gift card for a night out Downtown at the restaurant of the winner’s choice.
