San Marcos, CA -Thrive Pet Healthcare, a first-of-its-kind veterinary healthcare network with more than 350 locations across the U.S., opened a new urgent care hospital in San Marcos to meet non-emergency pet care needs in the San Marcos, Vista, San Elijo, Carlsbad and Escondido areas.
Thrive Pet Healthcare’s new urgent care hospital in San Marcos is located at 1903 W. San Marcos Blvd. The hospital provides outpatient, same-day services for sick pets that require prompt access to a veterinarian, but do not have critical or life-threatening conditions that require emergency care. Hospital hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
Urgent care provides non-critical pet care outside of the regular business hours for primary care clinics when no hospitalization or surgery is required. Some examples of pet behaviors or symptoms that may benefit from urgent care include vomiting, itching, lumps and limping.
Although urgent care is a walk-in service, pet owners are encouraged to check the availability of the urgent care team by calling the hospital at 760-257-2837.
Thrive Pet Healthcare opened 16 urgent care hospitals in the last two years to accommodate patients’ needs for same-day care in non-life-threatening situations. Urgent care is now available in standalone locations, as an expanded service offering in existing primary care hospitals, and as an add-on facility.
