Carlsbad Lancers Suffers First Loss In CIF Open Section Title Game
Escondido High School-Escondido CA: The Carlsbad Lancers have been eliminated from the CIF Open Championship Section Tournament after they led 6-0 on quarterback Julian Sayin’s 65 yard pass to wide receiver Matt Moore with the PAT blocked.
Cathedral Catholic came back to go ahead 28-6 on the amazing speed of Lucky Sutton as he rushed for 257 yards and scored on 3 touchdown runs of 4, 78 and 88 yards.
The Lancers scored 2 more touchdowns as quarterback Julian Sayin threw for 233 yards along with 2 more touchdown passes of 1 yard to Barrett Brooks and scored on a 1 yard run.
