Proposed revisions add a “hotel” category to the list of uses permitted with a special use permit, amend allowable ancillary uses for retail sales purposes, and add a category for temporary special events related to approved tasting rooms.

The proposed project amends Chapter 18.34, the Multi-Residential (R-M) Zone, and Chapter 18.35, the Mixed Use (M-U) Zone, of the Development Code, as well as amends the Downtown Specific Plan to establish requirements for an Inclusionary Housing Program. The proposal would require the reservation of nine percent of the residential units within a multi-family project of 20 units or more as a mix of low and moderate income units.
