Oceanside Chamber Celebrates 125 Years At Annual Meet The City of Oceanside Reception

Oceanside, CA — The Oceanside Chamber will be hosting its annual Meet the City of Oceanside reception on Thursday, September 30th from 5 PM – 7 PM at the new El Corazon Aquatics Center conference room and outdoor patio (3302 Senior Center Drive, Oceanside). This event gives Oceanside Chamber members and guests the opportunity to connect with local elected officials, City of Oceanside staff members, other businesses, and community leaders.

Adding to this year’s annual event, the Oceanside Chamber will be celebrating its 125th anniversary! Established in 1896, the Chamber is the oldest business in Oceanside. Over its long history, the Chamber’s role as a business and community advocate has remained a top priority. With new initiatives, advocacy efforts and an emphasis on economic and workforce development, the Chamber recently updated its mission statement to reflect it progress over 125
years and the organization’s focus moving forward: “To provide advocacy and resources that help businesses and our community thrive.”

Regarding the Chamber’s 125th anniversary celebration, CEO Scott Ashton remarks, “I came on board as a staff member 25 years ago when the Chamber was celebrating 100 years of serving Oceanside. It’s has been great to see how our organization has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of our business community. We are currently developing our strategic plan for the next five years, so I’m excited to see what we will do for our community in the future.”

The Meet the City of Oceanside event includes appetizers provided by the Oceanside Kitchen Collaborative, a celebratory anniversary cake and a no-host bar. As stated above, this indoor/outdoor event will be held at the new El Corazon Aquatic Center. Attendees can enjoy both the conference center and the outdoor patio. The cost is $55 for Chamber members, and $95 for non-members.
