If it’s true that facial features reveal certain characteristics of people, then San Marcos business owner Craig Garcia has success written all over his face. His smile extends ear to ear and his outgoing personality is overshadowed only by his infectious energy. Professionally, Craig is involved in a variety of small business enterprises and in everything he does, his hard work consistently yields successful results.
Craig and his lovely wife Giovanna turned a failing business into one of the hottest meet up places when they purchased Old California Coffee House in 2011 on Restaurant Row. Since then, the 25-year-old coffee house has been named San Diego’s best four consecutive years. When not accepting accolades at his coffee house and eatery, Craig is acting CEO at Reliable Contact. Having first launched his career in the computer industry, Craig uses his extensive online marketing and social media expertise to train entrepreneurs who seek to grow their businesses.
Considered a strong leader, Craig is immeasurably community -minded. He is Chairman of the San Marcos Arts Council and works to advance fine and performing arts throughout the city. Over the years, he has helped raise funds in support of numerous non-profits such as Wounded Warrior Homes, Solutions for Change, Boys and Girls Club, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Paws with Friends and Rady Children’s Hospital to name a few.
With his talent, dedication to hard work and enthusiasm, Craig Garcia inspires those around him and serves as a worthy recipient of my Business of the Month award for August 2015. When it comes to success, other professionals will undoubtedly say, “I’ll have what he’s having.”
