Standing Room Only!  So many guests came out to celebrate the Opening of the Information Resource Center in San Marcos that it was a challenge to fit everyone in the building. The Information Resource Center is an invaluable new resource for seniors in the region.  The Foundation for Senior Wellbeing not only connects seniors with comprehensive resources for housing, food, transportation medical care, emergency assistance, etc. but they also provide follow up services to ensure seniors get their serious issues solved.

“We are gratified and humbled by the response to the Information Resource Center’s opening celebration. The coming together of civic and community leaders, senior service providers, and members of the North County senior community we are dedicated to serving shows the intense interest and need for a service like the Center. As an almost entirely volunteer organization, I cannot stress enough my appreciation for the hard work and dedication the Foundation’s board of directors and volunteers put forth to make this event, and the Center, possible.” – Kirk Effinger, President, Foundation for Senior Wellbeing Board of Directors

The Foundation For Senior Wellbeing has carefully screened and trained volunteers to manage the incoming requests for guidance. We have already started matching seniors with resources to help with their financial security, physical health, supportive relationships, sense of purpose and community pride   – the five elements of wellbeing.
