Willauer-Contributing Writer-Tuesday, September 6, 2022:  The Comets of Palomar College Junior College came back from a 17-10 halftime deficit in the second half scored 7 points in the third quarter and 24 points in the fourth quarter as they defeated Victor Valley Junior College by a 41-17 score. 

Palomar performers: Rancho Buena Vista alum Dorian Richardson led the Comets with 44 yards rushing,  Jayden Ireland 3 yard interception.  Landon Ogles had 2 field goals of 1 and 23 yards. El Camino alum Kiah Reid (5 completions out of 17 attempts for 36 yards) including a 36 yard pass to Kaa’lei Apana (2 rec for 40 yards) and scored 2 touchdown runs of 2 and 12 yards (6 carries for 12 yards).  Vista alum Dez Taua scored on an 11 yard run.  

Palomar 1-0 will take on Golden West College on Saturday, September 10th on the road.  Their first home game will be at Escondido High School where they will host Southwestern Jr College in a 6 PM start.
