San Marcos, CA Palomar Performing Arts Continues its 2022-23 Performing Arts Season with the Theatrical Production of Ken Ludwig’s The Gods of Comedy.

Palomar Performing Arts will be presenting The Gods of Comedy by Ken Ludwig which will be playing December 2 – December 11, 2022. Performances will be on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and will be held in the Palomar College Studio Theatre on the campus of Palomar College. This production will be directed by Michael Mufson.

The play follows, a young theatre scholar who calls on the gods of Ancient Greece to save her career and love life—but it’s not the gods of love who show up to help. This hilariously divine new play by comic master Ken Ludwig (Lend Me A Tenor) is filled with madcap mayhem, a touch of romance, and lots of laughs.

Director Michael Mufson said, “Creating this show has been pure joy for me and the cast. We are thrilled with the big moments of physical comedy and have been surprised to discover little philosophical gems hidden within the zany lunacy.”

According to his website, playwright, Ken Ludwig, has had six shows on Broadway, seven in London’s West End, and many of his works have become a standard part of the American repertoire. His 32 plays and musicals have been performed in over 30 countries in more than 20 languages and are produced throughout the United States every night of the year. He is a graduate of Harvard and Cambridge and is a frequent guest speaker for groups as varied as The Oxford-Cambridge Society, The Jane Austen Society of North America, The Folger Shakespeare Library, and The Baker Street Irregulars.
