Announces its 2021 summer season under the stars
Escondido, CA – (May 25, 2021) Patio Playhouse Plays in the Park is thrilled to announce its return to live, in-person theatre with Miss You Like Hell (directed by Elizabeth Arellano) and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (directed by Kristen Fogle) opening this summer under the stars at Escondido’s Kit Carson Amphitheatre.
Miss You Like Hell is the story of Beatriz and Olivia, mother and daughter who have lived estranged from each other for years and embark on a road trip across the country where they meet Americans of different backgrounds, shared dreams, and complicated truths in this powerful new show with vast heart and fierce humor. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is an updated remount of our 2014 production with half of the cast returning. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is a musical revue celebrating the mating game! This crowd-pleasing comedy takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as ‘the relationship.’
