The purpose of the Planning Commission is to recommend to the City Council plans for the regulation of the future growth, development and beautification of the City and to hear and take action on certain applications for subdivisions of land, site development plans, special use permits, or variances. The powers and duties of the Planning Commission are set forth in Chapter 2.48 of the Vista Municipal Code. There are seven members on the Planning Commission who serve four-year terms. The City Council appoints all members. City Planner, Patsy Chow, is the Staff Liaison.
At the last City Council meeting on May 24, Rick Rosalr was appointed to another 4 year term and Jacob D. Bell was appointed to his first 4 year term on the Planning Commission.
