David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-3-7-22-2 time CIF State Placewinner and Rancho Buena Vista Bernie Truax wrestled for his second Pac 12 Wrestling Title was pinned by Trey Munoz from Oregon State in 1:19. Truax and Munoz met the previous 3 times, first for the 2021 Pac 12 title where the Longhorn alum won 11-2,  Matmen Open 3-1  and in a dual this this season and won 5-2
Bernie’s recorded other wins in the Pac 12 tourney as he registered a bye in the first round, pinned Josh Nummer from Arizona State in 2:46 in the semi finals.  
The NCAA Wrestling Championships will take place at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit from March 17 to the 19th, this will be Bernie’s second go around in the NCAA’s.  Last year he placed 4th in the NCAA’s where he was defeated by MIke Labriola from Nebraska.
