Starting June 15, California will be on its path to reopen the economy and bring a new sense of normality to everyday life.

Capacity and social distancing requirements have been lifted as well as mask mandates at most businesses unless otherwise required or stated by those businesses. Masks are also still required in
- Public transit
- Hospitals
- Long-term care facilities
- Homeless shelters
- Indoors in K-12 schools, childcare, and other youth settings.
Please continue to wear a mask if you are not yet fully vaccinated.
More information on how to schedule a vaccine appointment and information on the different vaccines being offered.
Mega Events Mega events are large crowd gatherings, 5000+ indoors and 10,000+ outdoors.
- For indoor mega events attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.
- The same will not be required for outdoor mega events but it will be strongly encouraged.
What’s Expected Next The State of California will continue to monitor vaccination and infection rates over the summer and it is expected that an update will be given on October 1, 2021.
