New Panelist Added to the “Rivers End” Discussion! Alex Hall is a professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and Director of the UCLA Center for Climate Science. His research is aimed at predicting and understanding climate change impacts at scales relevant to decision-makers, especially in the State of California. Alex and his team are currently studying the future of wildfire in California and are working with water management agencies in Southern California to ensure sustainability of water resources under climate change. “Alex was a Lead Author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 5th Assessment Report’s chapter on regional climate change and a Contributing Author to its chapter on climate model evaluation. ”He will be kicking off the event with a 15 minute slide deck on “The Impact of Climate Change on California’s Water Resources”.River’s End Synopsis — DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR WATER COMES FROM? Panelists include: Tiffany Boyd-Hodgson serves on the Vallecitos Water District representing Division 5 (San Elijo Hills, Discovery, and Lake San Marcos) in San Marcos and parts of Escondido. She is mother to 4 children and a scientist. She Chairs the Personnel, Public Awareness and Policy committee and serves on the Finance Committee. Additionally, she is the Vallecitos Water District Representative to the City of San Marcos’ General Plan Advisory Committee.

Felicia Marcus is an attorney/consultant with 35 years of expertise in organizational management, policy development, program implementation, and public engagement at the federal, state, and local level. She is currently the William C. Landreth Visiting Fellow at Stanford University’s Water in the West Program.Rosalind Haselbeck is the founder, partner, and president of Catching H₂O. Rosalind’s vision is to change people’s relationship with water — conserving it and using it with awareness in their homes and businesses. Rosalind is an ARCSA (American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association) accredited professional, a green roof accredited professional, an accredited member of the G3 Gardens group, and a level 2 installer with Greywater Action. Rosalind’s educational background includes a PhD in Biology from the University of California, Irvine.
