San Diego, CA – The Padres Holiday Giving Tour continues Tuesday, December 14 as members of the organization will participate in a surprise bike distribution in conjunction with Bikes for Kids Foundation. Padres CEO Erik Greupner, broadcaster Don Orsillo, and representatives from San Diego Gas & Electric will be joined by Pad Squad and the Swingin’ Friar as they surprise over 70 third grade children during an assembly at Euclid Elementary School with new bikes and helmets.

Bikes for Kids Foundation provides new bicycles and helmets to underserved students through a bike reward program utilizing character-building books and required essays. Debbie Pollakov, co-founder of Bikes for Kids Foundation, will be on site to assist with the surprise. Officials from Euclid Elementary School and student recipients will also be available to local media, though they will be unaware of the event until the surprise takes place on Tuesday.

The Padres Holiday Giving tour began on Wednesday, December 1, and will continue throughout the month of December as the Padres support various organizations and have a presence at a number of different community events throughout San Diego County. Padres coaches, alumni, executives, staff and broadcasters, along with Pad Squad, the Swingin’ Friar and the Padres Volunteer Team will participate in various events to help spread holiday cheer and give back to the community.
