As the voice of business in San Marcos, the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host a candidate forum for the 2022 Election for San Marcos Mayor and the San Marcos City Council. This forum will allow Chamber members, business organizations, and community members the opportunity to engage and hear from candidates in a moderated conversation regarding issues important to the San Marcos business community. Get Involved! The Chamber’s Board of Directors will be selecting questions submitted by the community. Send your questions to Rick Rungaitis at rick@sanmarcoschamber.com.

The 30th annual San Marcos Harvest Fest returns on Sunday, October 9th, from 9am-5pm. This lively community event will feature over 200 local businesses along with area artisans and crafters offering up great shopping! Guests will also enjoy a Wine, Rhythm & Brews Garden, delicious food, kids zone, and live entertainment on two stages.

The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Virtual Candidate Forum for San Marcos Unified School Board Candidates on Wednesday, October 12th, 5:00-6:30 PM. 

This free event provides a forum that gives voters the opportunity to meet each of the attending candidates running for School Board, and learn about their positions on various school-related topics.

Voters in San Marcos Unified School District will vote for one trustee for each of the two areas.

  • Area C – Stephanie Carroll, Andres Ramos Martin
  • Area E – Stacy Carlson, Sharyl Cavellier

Questions for the candidates must be sent in advance to Rick@sanmarcoschamber.com and received by October 3rd. Questions that will be asked during the candidate forum will be selected by the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Admission is free and all are welcome. More Info

Join us for a 2-Week Marketing Bootcamp where you will receive mentorship, guidance, education, and much-needed community for your business during these unprecedented times. 

This marketing bootcamp is focused on one specific campaign you can launch as we navigate COVID-19. We will focus on what you need to know and achieve to develop and execute one marketing campaign for your business.  

We have developed a fast curriculum and you will end up with fundamental knowledge to execute additional marketing campaigns once the cohort is complete. You will feel ready and confident once our time together is completed.

The 2-week course is outlined as follows:

After the first week, you will leave ready to execute your campaign. During the second week, we will meet to refine your process and mastermind as a group to provide the support you need to execute your campaign. During the last week, we will review the results from the campaign and address any improvements we could implement for the next campaign.

The goal for this Marketing Bootcamp is to get you to take action with a small campaign so you can get momentum as figure out ways to pivot and shift your business.
