San Marcos Hikes are back! We are excited to announce the San Marcos Hike Series will return on March 6, 2021! A fast-pace group and moderate-pace group will be offered. We strongly recommend face coverings and social distancing throughout the hike.

March 6 | Rose Ranch & Richland Area Easy to ModerateA blend of wide sidewalks, maintained trails and signature parks await you on this 5.3-mile hike through some of the oldest neighborhoods in SanMarcos. There is minimal elevation gain.
Meeting location: Hollandia Park, 12 Mission Hills Court, San Marcos, 92069 (park near dog park).Adventure Day Camp returns for Spring Break!

These full-day adventures are supervised by trained recreation staff where campers participate in arts & crafts, games, and other fun activities. Campers must bring a sack lunch and drink daily. An afternoon snack is provided.
Dates: March 29 – April 1, Mon-Fri 8 a.m.-5p.m. Location: Jack’s Pond Recreation Center Cost: $125 Ages: 6-12

Park Shelter Reservations Available
The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation is accepting park shelter permits for gatherings of up to three households and for Cultural Ceremonies including wedding ceremonies, celebration of life events and religious services. County of San Diego social distancing guidelines must be followed.
Scholarships Available Now!

The Friends of San Marcos Parks & Recreation have donated $5,000 this year for recreation scholarships! These scholarships are available through the City of San Marcos Parks & Recreation and are contingent upon meeting certain financial eligibility requirements.
