San Marcos Resident Selected As 18th Annual San Diego Giving Back Raffle Grand Prizewinner

Over 15,000 Prizes Awarded as Proceeds Benefit Families  at San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House 

SAN DIEGO – July 2022 – Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego has named Vincent Bruno of San Marcos as the grand prize winner of the 2022 San Diego Giving Back Raffle. Mr. Bruno’s winning ticket was pulled along with 15,000 other prize winners today as the 18th annual charitable raffle concluded. The grand prize award is $1 million in cash. 

Selling 41,297 raffle tickets and raising over $2.5 million in 2022, the San Diego Giving Back Raffle supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego as they provide a “home away from home” for more than 15,000 family members annually with a critically ill or injured child. Offering an emotional and physical sanctuary during a difficult time, the San Diego Ronald McDonald House provides lodging, meals and a sense of community when it matters most.  

“Our number one goal is to keep families together as they navigate the hardships of a medical crisis for their child, and to fulfill that mission, support from our community is critical,” said Chuck Day, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. “Our annual Giving Back Raffle provides a thrilling opportunity for our ticketholders, such as Mr. Bruno, while also raising funds that help us care for families in their most uncertain days.” 

The second grand prizewinner, Rhonda McDonald of Torrance, wins the choice of a 2021 Lotus Evora GT140, 111-day cruise around the world from Los Angeles in a mini-suite room, Tiffany & Co. Victoria diamond vine necklace in platinum or $100,000 in cash. This year’s multi-ticket winner is Steve Edwards of La Quinta, who wins the choice of a 2022 Range Rover SE Standard Wheelbase, a 2022 BMW IX M60 or $100,000 in cash. In total, raffle participants were awarded over 15,000 prizes, including luxury vehicles, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, home goods and cash.
