Senator Jones & Escondido Chamber of Commerce Co-hosting Blood Drive

By   /  July 9, 2024  /  No Comments

Who? Senator Brian Jones (R-San Diego), representatives of the American Red Cross of San Diego, Escondido Chamber of Commerce, and local community leaders.

What? The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Escondido for local residents to donate blood.

Donors are asked to make an appointment before showing up to donate in order to manage the flow of donors appropriately in alignment with social distancing practices.

If the time slots for donating blood at this Escondido Blood Donation site have already been filled, please check for other blood drives taking place nearby.

Where? Escondido Chamber of Commerce – 720 N Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025

When? Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Why? Blood donations are running low. Summer is an especially hard time to collect enough blood donations to meet patient needs. Donating blood is one of the simplest things a person can do to help save a patient’s life. For the hour it takes to give blood, there could be a whole community of people thankful for another birthday given to their loved one.

All who come to give blood will get a TWISTERS + Red Cross umbrella, while supplies last. Plus, come to give for a Fandango Movie Ticket by email to see TWISTERS! BONUS: Those who come to give in July will also automatically be entered for a chance to win a 2025 Ram Big Horn®! Visit rcblood.org/Twisters for details.

For more information, please contact Christine Welch of the Red Cross at (909) 374-0376 and christine.welch@redcross.org or Marc Schaefer, District Representative for Senator Brian Jones at (858) 880-5653 and Marc.Schaefer@sen.ca.gov

Senator Brian W. Jones represents the 40th Senate District which includes the Cities of Escondido, Poway, San Marcos, Santee, San Diego City communities of Carmel Mountain Ranch, Mira Mesa, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Peñasquitos, Scripps Ranch, Sorrento Valley, and University City, along with the San Diego County unincorporated communities of 4S Ranch, Alpine, Bonsall, Fallbrook, Lakeside, Pine Valley, Rainbow, Ramona, and Valley Center.
