Senator Jones honors Eva Pacheco, retired Executive Director and community educator at the Excellence and Justice Education Academies in El Cajon

El Cajon – As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, Senator Brian W. Jones (R-Santee) presented a California State Senate Resolution today to Eva Pacheco, who recently retired as Executive Director and community educator at the Excellence and Justice Education (EJE) Academies in El Cajon.

“Today, we are honoring Eva Pacheco, a life-long career advocate for quality bilingual education programs and the engagement of parents and families within their school communities,” stated Senator Brian W. Jones. “Thanks to Eva, her husband, and a group of parents, EJE Academies opened its doors in the Fall of 2005 as the first independent, 90-10 dual-language (Spanish-English) school in the County. Thank you Eva, you are a truly an outstanding community leader and role model who has changed lives for the better and made enduring contributions to the families of El Cajon, East County and all of San Diego.”      

Senator Brian W. Jones was elected to the California State Senate in 2018 representing the 38th Senate District which includes Alpine, Escondido, Lemon Grove, El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Poway, San Marcos, Lakeside, Valley Center, Rancho Santa Fe, Julian, Ramona, Rancho San Diego, Bonsall, Fallbrook, Borrego Springs, and parts of the City of San Diego.
