ArtWalk Carlsbad September 9 & 10

Artwalk Carlsbad features fine art, food, music, activities, and more. Free to attend, ArtWalk takes place on Armada Drive in front of the Museum of Making Music.

Armada Drive will be closed on Friday, September 8 through Sunday, September 10. Guests can access the Museum of Making Music via Fleet Street.

Summer Session Concert

September 14 @ 7:30 pm

The North Coast Strings presents their end-of-session concert featuring popular and jazz tunes. The ensemble will play alongside seasoned, professional musicians, including Derek Cannon (trumpet), Melonie Grinnell (piano), Julien Cantelm (drums), and Justin Grinnell (bass).

This concert takes place at the Grossmont College Performing & Visual Arts Center. Tickets are $5–$15 and will be available at the door. LEARN MORE

New Horizons Band

Fall Session Enrollment

Learn a concert band instrument (or dust off your old instrument) and practice and perform with other amateur musicians.

The Museum’s New Horizons Beginning Band and Concert Band are open for enrollment. No experience is required for Beginning Band. The Concert Band is open to all adults who have at least one year of experience playing a concert band instrument. 

The ensembles rehearse at the Museum on Wednesday evenings. Enrollment is $100. The first rehearsal starts on Wednesday, September 13. LEARN MORE

North Coast Strings

Fall Session Enrollment

The North Coast Strings program is designed as an entry point for adults (21+) who want to learn or hone their skills on violin, viola, cello, and upright bass.

Their fall session will offer three levels. No experience is necessary for the Beginner group. The Intermediate group requires at least one year of experience and an ability to read music at a basic level. The Advanced group requires several years of experience, proficiency in reading music, and playing in positions.

The Mastersons

September 29 @ 7:00 pm

The Mastersons are singer-songwriters/multi-instrumentalists Chris Masterson and Eleanor Whitmore.
