Fall Festival for Families Is a FREE Day of Fun!

Alta Vista Gardens welcomes families to our sixth Fall Festival with many offerings for the whole family. The Festival is a great chance to get your kids outdoors to discover their environment, enjoy nature, dig into gardening, and share art and music.  Programs for children provided at AVG have received a National Award from the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, so come join us!

The October 11 Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and admission is free.  You can create a scarecrow (registration fee $2) for our contest, make crafts, decorate pumpkins, bob for apples, get your face painted by Miss Pride of Vista and her court, join our active games, and enjoy music and dance.  The Children’s Garden attracts children to enjoy the Enchanted Garden Tube Tunnels, the fantastic Children’s Music Garden, the Turtle and Dino Dig, and the Incredible Edibles Garden.

As you continue into the garden, you will notice, the location stirs the artist to paint. The Sound Healers are inspired to fill the air, as the variety of talents inspires wellness and creativity.  Listen to local talent on the Open Mic Stage. Wander and you will find yoga on the grass, the labyrinth, the medicine wheel, live music, massage, artisans and healthy food. The closing drum circle starts at 3:00 p.m.

The Fall Festival also includes a Plant Sale provided by AVG GrowGetters, vendors, and food for sale courtesy of Amigos de Vista Lions.

A family membership in Alta Vista Gardens includes our award-winning monthly Kids in the Garden class and adult entry FREE for a year.

Questions: contact info@altavistagardens or call  (760) 945-3954. School field trips, Scout badge sessions, and club tours are also available for a reasonable fee. Alta Vista Gardens is located at 1270 Vale Terrace Drive in VISTA, at the top of the hill inside Brengle Terrace Park.
