Soroptimists To Host Human Trafficking Awareness Walk January 29th

Vista, CA — Soroptimist International of Vista and North County Inland invites the public to their 16th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Event and Walk on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the United Methodist Church of Vista, 490 S. Melrose in Vista. The event is free to the public.

Attendees should arrive by 10 a.m. to the church’s Fellowship Hall on the Lower level. Featured guest San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan will speak at 10:30 a.m.  The Walk will commence at 11 a.m. along Melrose Drive, from the church to Sunset Drive and back, a round-trip distance of about 1.5 miles. Water and “Stop Trafficking” signs will be provided.

Walkers can stay to hear from speakers Susan Johnson, Director of Grace House, a newly purchased safe haven for survivors of sex trafficking, and  Marjorie Saylor, Director of Client Services at Alabaster Jar Project.
