Dear C4FA Supporters,
Last month we emailed you about some legal fun and games pulled by the County Attorney. Well,
we did it. We won! The judge reopened our case, vacated his ruling, and ordered the County Attorney to work with our attorney to come up with a NEW Final Writ of Mandate (the legal document that says it’s over) that would satisfy both sides.
The most important change in the new Final Writ of Mandate is this sentence, which supersedes anything written in the 2022 Master Plan or PEIR:
“Nothing in the Project EIR or in this Amended Final Return is intended to circumvent any aspect
of the judgment entered in this action on February 25, 2021.”

The County Attorney pulled a fast one, filing a Return to Final Writ with no such language as above,
thus implying that the 2022 Master Plan and PEIR were adequate and included nothing about the
Court’s requirement for Carlsbad’s approval for an airport expansion. It was also filed without
concurrence from C4FA or our attorney. THAT WAS NOT OK!

This is a huge, huge victory for the residents, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your support. If you’d like to read the entire document (36 pages), please click here.
We will have to watch the County. That’s where you all can help. If you get a whiff of anything at Palomar Airport, please reach out to us at c4fa.info@gmail.com.
Additionally, please support and elect local officials who will protect the residents by keeping
Palomar Airport “as is” – a friendly airport, with no expansion.
Now, however, it’s time to celebrate a major milestone in keeping Palomar Airport as a B-II General
Aviation Airport.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. And please share the good news with your friends and neighbors.

And you know the drill – We’re a 100% volunteer organization and the work isn’t done. So, if you can
help us out, it is much appreciated. Every donation of any size is welcome.
