VERY GOOD NEWS

In response to Vista residents’ requests that the City apply for grants to plant more trees, Vista Public Works Director Kuna Muthusamy reports that over the past five years, PW has successfully applied for grants to plant a whopping 875 trees to beautify our community.
Please see the listing on p. 2 of all the trees that have been added to our city landscape. Many thanks, Public Works!

THE PRESIDENT’S CORNER

December is a very special month and the hallmark of the holiday season. While the celebrations are traditionally religious in nature, they encompass a universal appeal that suits many personal beliefs and values. This is a season of generosity and goodwill to others. It is the time to reflect on blessings received and to embrace the spirit of giving. It is the season to be grateful and kind to others. The outward expressions of the season, whether family gatherings, festive decorations, or gift exchanges, are ways of fostering relationships and creating cherished memories.

As we are living in a time of significant challenges and uncertainties, let’s make this holiday season a particularly special one. Let it inspire acts of kindness, charity, community involvement, empathy and support for those in need, and building hope for the future.

On behalf of South Vista Communities, I wish you a very Happy and Auspicious Holiday Season.
Francis Dumler
President, South Vista Communities

CBS8 reported on the Carlsbad City Council meeting and prepared a fair segment which aired after the City Council meeting. The County and FAA were contacted for comment but didn’t respond. You may watch the segment entitled Carlsbad City Council Taking Aim at Airplane Noise at this link:
